Well Done Chris Monroe-Crump
Last night was the annual STEP awards.
A&K Printing Ltd is proud to announce the success of their STEP Student in being awarded the runner-up prize for his Information technology project in the Essex awards. The student, Christopher Monroe-Crump, from the University of Essex was awarded the prize for his project on the implementation of a quote system and product database for use in our office.
At the awards ceremony held at the Waterfront Restaurant in Chelmsford on the 27th of August, Chris was awarded a certificate and a novelty over-sized comedy cheque for £50. He will have fun carrying that to the bank !
A&K Printing Ltd has participated in the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme for the last three years and has been impressed with the quality of projects carried out by the students that have been placed with them. I am an ex-STEP student myself, and not only has it basically given me this job, it also taught me valuable skills needed for the workplace.
Hopefully Chris's quote system will be tested this month, and should be of benefit for customers and staff when the ease of complex quotes for printed items has been improved.
A&K Printing Ltd is grateful for Chris’s hard work and wishes him every success in the future.
We took on another student, Stacy Wooten, who has worked hard with a website she has made. The images have not all been completed yet, but once the site is online I shall mention it here.
